Why Apply for College Scholarships?
Most of our students — 80% — receive financial aid, including over $19 million in Tarleton State and private college scholarships each year. We help students find, apply for and manage scholarship funding from a variety of sources to increase the value and affordability of their college education.
How to Apply for Scholarships
General scholarship applications can be found below.
If you are a student enrolled or planning to enroll in courses for Fall 2025, Spring 2026, or Summer 2026, please fill out the 25/26 Academic Year Application.
If you are a student enrolled or planning to enroll in courses for Fall 2026, Spring 2027, or Summer 2027, please fill out the 26/27 Academic Year Application.
After submitting your General Scholarship Application online, you’ll be automatically matched with eligible college scholarships based on your information—no need to apply individually. The application opens August 1 each year, and you must have an active admissions application with your student ID to access it. Apply early, as many scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis..

- Priority Date for Next Academic Year – February 15th
- Spring Priority Date – December 1st
- Early Consideration for Next Academic Year – December 1st

Non-Resident Waiver Option
Find out if you qualify for the Non-resident Waiver Option
Non-resident students may qualify for a non-resident tuition waiver by receiving at least a total of $1,000 in competitive scholarship funds.
The scholarship must be open to both Texas and non-Texas residents and awarded by a scholarship committee authorized in writing by Tarleton State to grant scholarships that permit this waiver.
The funds and selection process must be under the control of the institution.
